Byron Tuttle ADCRG
Originally born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Byron Tuttle's family history hails from Dublin, Ireland. His grandparents were into dancing and were also steeped in Irish traditions.
Byron began dancing in his youth and quickly rose through the ranks and reached the top championship level of competition with the support of his family.
From humble beginnings...when Byron was young, he would often teach his siblings and cousins how to dance in the basement or the garage! Decades ago...Byron, his sister, and their cousins would perform their Irish Dancing shows at nursing homes and at family parties for fun! He often coins the phrase:
'I was a teacher before I was even a dancer.'
In his late teenage years, Byron moved to England where he spent a decade living, dancing, and eventually teaching, Irish Dancing in Birmingham.
Living and dancing in England, Byron danced for the world-renowned and hugely successful:
'Sean Eireann-McMahon School' during the height of their success; winning 8 world titles in 2005 in Ennis, Ireland.
In his competitive solo career, Byron won every major Irish Dancing Championship title in both solo and team sections, including: The All Scotland, British National, All Ireland and World Championships. He retired from competitive dancing after winning the World Championship Title with a PERFECT SCORE in Belfast , N. Ireland in 2006! Being a part of many winning Ceili and Figure teams cultivated Byron’s passion and love for Figure (team) dancing.
In his professional career starting at the age of 17, Byron enjoyed many successful tours with Michael Flatley in ‘Lord of the Dance’ and ‘Feet of Flames.’
Byron successfully obtained his TCRG (Teaching Credentials) with the World Irish Dancing Commission (An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha) in 2006. Byron also obtained his ADCRG (Adjudicator Credentials) in 2013. He is registered with the IDTAMA & the IDTANA!
